The Levy Park playground has re-opened! After a year of being closed (and just the park being open), the kids can play on the hills and slides and rock wall again. Learn all about Levy Park Houston below.
(At the time of this update, the splashpad was still closed.)
Levy Park Houston is one of our very favorite Houston area parks! Just like Discovery Green is a family destination in Downtown, Levy Park is a great family destination near Greenway Plaza and the Galleria.
Levy Park has a children’s play area, spalsh area, dog park, performance stage, food trucks, restaurant and restrooms. Plus, there are lots of free family events each week!
At Levy Park Houston, the play area is fenced in with tunnels, a ball spider web, a big orange water feature (where water dumps from the top) and a rock wall that leads to a big slide!
There is a music square, a lilypad you stand on and wiggle a ball through the maze, a modern merry-go-round, a circle spider web, a rock wall, giant slide and more.
Plus, it’s mostly rubber and turf, so the mud and bugs are not a huge issue.
And the game cart, art cart, book carts, table tennis tables, foosball, mini golf equipment and giant blue blocks are out every day.
The playground is very unique and my kids adore it.
Do know that the playground has a lot of hills and tunnels and walk ways… and if the little kids are running, it can be hard to see without following along. Also, the giant slide is really cool, but it’s fast. So be careful!
Free parking is available on both Eastside and Wakeforest, and there are 900 spaces in the One Grove building garage available for a few dollars.
