The Very Best Dinner at Russo's New York Pizzeria

Four out of four (of my) kids agree... dinner at Russo's New York Pizzeria is the best dinner they've had in their entire lives. Entire lives you ask? Well apparently the answer is "yes".

Russo's invited us out to try their salads, pastas and pizzas... and each thing they brought out was better than the last. Really, it probably was the best meal my kids can remember.

The Russo's we went to is located near the Galleria Mall on Westheimer and Chimney Rock, but is much easier to access than the mall. There is a big parking lot and there's no delay to getting to the restaurant.

Once inside, you order at the counter, find a seat and the food comes to you (making it fast and easy with kids).

Russo's has a kids menu and a lot of pasta dishes, sandwiches and pizzas. At lunch, there are specials... and I've had them in the past... but on this night, we got a little of everything!

No really, we had something from each menu... Mozzarella Fritti, Chicken & Kale Pesto Pasta Salad, Greek Pizza, New York Village Pizza, Kid's Pizza, Chicken Marsala and Kid's Spaghetti and Meatballs... and Tiramisù, Big Chocolate Cake and Cheesecake!

This was a serious meal. (And school lunches the next day. And dinner the next day. And...)

The portion sizes are big and the kids meals can feed a hungry 9 year old (which is not always true of kids meals).

We ate it all. And shared some with the security guard in the parking lot. And brought plenty home. If we had to pick, our favorites were...

Me: Kale Salad
9 year old: Greek Pizza
8 year old: Spaghetti and Meatballs
Picky 5 year old: The entire basket of bread that comes with the meal
Baby: Bread stolen from the picky 5 year old
(Unless we are counting dessert, then we are all changing our answers.)
